A Lifer confesses Jesus as his Lord and Savior (4:14-15; 1:1-4; 5:1).
A Lifer knows and keeps the commands of God (2:3-4; 3:4).
A Lifer embraces the values of God (2:15-17).
A Lifer has an anointing—the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (2:20, 27).
A Lifer overcomes the world (5:4-5).
A Lifer purifies his life (3:2-3).
A Lifer does not continue in sin (3:9-10).
A Lifer loves the church of God (3:14,23; 4:20; 5:1).
