RECOGNIZE GOD’S LIMITATIONS ON TIME (v.1-10)

  1. birth, death (v. 2a)

  2. plant, uproot (v. 2b)

  3. kill, heal (v. 3a)

  4. tear down, build up (v. 3b)

  5. weep, laugh (v. 4a)

  6. mourn, dance (v. 4b)

  7. throw stones, gather stones (v. 5a)

  8. embrace, shun embracing (v. 5b)

  9. search, give up (v 6a)

  10. keep, throw away (v. 6b)

  11. tear apart, sew together (v. 7a)

  12. silent, speak (7b)

  13. love, hate (v. 8a)

  15. reflection (v. 9-10)

RELINQUISH SELF-IMPOSED TIME LIMITS (v. 11,14)

  1. Because only God’s ways are always appropriate.

  2. Because only God can make things last (John 3:16; 1 Cor 3:10-15)

  3. Because God desires our submission to him
