On our stage this year for Easter we have a Cross and Crown. This draws our attention to two aspects of our Savior and his ministry. Philippians 2 tells us that Jesus humbled Himself by taking on the form of a servant, putting on human flesh, and dying on the cross for our sin. Therefore, God has highly exalted him and given him the name that is above every other name! Our risen Christ wears the crown as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Amazingly, Ephesians 2 explains that because of our union with Christ, his victory is our victory. Because he went to the cross on our behalf, God has raised us up with him and seated us in heavenly places. Astounding. Come let us worship our risen Savior and King, Jesus!
